Kids Chess Intermediate Class (P4)
Minimum 2 students
Age: 8+
This class is geared towards students with past experience in chess. Students will learn different strategies for all phases of the game. Classes will typically consist of both instruction and lots of opportunities to practice!
Teacher: Lawrence Tu
Lawrence Tu has been playing chess competitively for nine years, formerly ranked as a top 3 player in the US for his age group. He has lots of experience traveling and playing in major chess events as well as practicing online. Lawrence has been teaching chess for over four years and hopes to share his love for the game with others!
Jianda Liu:
Jianda has been playing competitive chess for seven years, holding a peak USCF rating of 1950 and a current FIDE rating of over 1750. An experienced chess instructor within the local community, Jianda is excited to join the program. He looks forward to helping students master the game and learn winning strategies.
